Azure App Registration

This document explains how to set up Azure App that can later be used when setting up Data Sources.

App authentication process when establishing new connection requires the following URL to be whitelisted and SSL traffic bypassed (not intercepted):
https://microsoftonline.com

https://graph.microsoft.com

Create new App Registration

Log in with Admin credentials to azure.microsoft.com and open up App Registrations page:

Create new App by clicking New Registration button:

Give your app a name and click Register:

Write down the following details, you will need them later

 

From the menu on the left select Certificates & Secrets and then New Client Secret:

Give the secret a description and set up expiration date, then click Add:

Write down Secret Value, you will need it later:

The App has been created and is ready to add required permissions:

Select API permissions from the left menu, then click Add a permission:

Different Data Sources / Connectors require different App permissions.
