The Ex-ID software package includes the pattern matching dashboard, where users can configure and manage their patterns and rules, and the back-end service that connects with our Synergy Pro agents to help users tag, classify, and protect files where patterns are detected.

Name

The name comes from the Latin for pattern identification: exemplar idem. It also refers to the Ex in RegEx (Regular Expression), which is used as part of the software pattern matching capabilities, and the initialism ID for Identification Document.

Summary for 1.0

We are pleased to announce the new release of Ex-ID. The latest version offers users the ability to add custom pattern matching configurations through the product's user interface. The Ex-ID software is a tool that can be used to match user input with business data. The user can now simply navigate to the pattern matching dashboard and start adding their own patterns (regular expressions and keywords) to find things like employee IDs, project names and so on. Once their new patterns are configured, they can show suggestions and classification recommendations to users based on detected text.

New Features & Issues Fixed

• Create Regular Expression (RegEx) patterns for detection in Synergy Pro

• Associate patterns with tagging, classification, and file protection rules

• Hide RegEx patterns from users for increased security

• Edit existing pattern rules. Editing can also be disabled for security reasons

• Disable and enable patterns. This will help customise the set of rules that different parts of an organisation would be using

• Pattern matching dashboard where all rules can be viewed and sorted
