Summary:

We are pleased to announce the release of Agent 3.3.2. This update addresses an issue that caused by a problem with the TLS certificate that was not updated on the Synergy agent installed on workstations. This issue has unfortunately led to an unexpected service disruption for Synergy users. This issue puts the agent in offline mode, and the agent stops receiving classification suggestions, not receiving updated configurations and does not send logs back to the server. However, all deployed security rules are unaffected and provide security and compliance coverage for all the workstations installed by the Synergy agent. Below are the steps to update to 3.3.2 and resolve the above issue.

Steps to update to 3.3.2 by affected users

  • An auto-update will update the agents to 3.3.2 Receiving this update may take some time, as the server upgrade package is 3GB

  • For customers with the auto-update config is ENABLED, the agent will automatically download the latest version (by default the agent is checking the latest version every 30 minutes)

  • The auto-update service will automatically install a new certificate ONLY if the old one is expired

  • The agent will automatically set up a new agent UI, platform hub, plugins, and auto-update. 

We are performing a continuous monitoring for all customers.

NOTES:

  • For customers, before having a version prior to 2.10.18 the user MUST restart their workstations

  • ALL VERSION < 3.3.2 ARE DISCARDED
