Step 1: Conduct Workshop and POC with the potential customer.

Conducting workshops and POCs for any potential clients will be the first thing done after the initial conversation. Refer to the link below for a thorough explanation of how to set up POC and workshops.

If customer is willing to do a POC in his premises then you need to go through your Salesforce default process. The Forcepoint license team shall generate the POC license by following the steps mentioned below.

There are two options to use these new devices:

  1. Create a new lab from a template: Forcepoint Data classification

  2. Refresh your lab devices and select the new Forcepoint Classification device, then add it to your existing Lab template.

Step 2: Create License

Info

In order to request for a production license, you need to go through your Salesforce default process. The Forcepoint license team shall generate the production license by following the steps mentioned below.

Step 3: Register and Install K3 Server for Client and Reseller

Info

In case the deployment engineer or team doesn't have access to Rancher portal, they need to reach out the Forcepoint Operations team to deploy the Forcepoint Classification packages after executing the commands provided along with the license email.

Step 4: Software Deployment

The deployment engineer or team, needs to contact the Forcepoint Operations team, to start pushing the packages related to Forcepoint Classification.

The deployment may take several minutes based on the Internet connection speed. Kindly make sure all the pods are running by executing the command “kubectl get pods -A”

Step 5: Setting up the LDAP Integration

Once the product is fully deployed and all pods are up and running, we need to configure authentication.

The below document outlines the steps necessary to configure authentication, create users and even connect to LDAP to allow end-users to log in to the product UI with their AD credentials:

Step 5: FP support follow up

Once the basic deployment is completed sales engineers need to follow up with FP support(support.forcepoint.com) and finish the installation on FP side.

Step 7: Deployment of Agent

After configuring authentication and access to the product, you need to deploy the agent softwarepackage.

Our agent is packaged in an installation file and can be deployed manually or via management tools like SCCM.

After the basic setup is completed share , refer the Admin guide with client to get them started start with configuring the applicationForcepoint Classification software.
